Currently there are very few restrictions as for exportation from Ukraine. Exports of some non-ferrous metals are restricted and exports of scrap ferrous metals are prohibited.
Goods that are subject to export duties include: Live cattle (with some exceptions); Cattle hides; Sheep or lamb skin; Pigskin; Flax seeds, shattered or non-shattered; Sunflower seeds, shattered or non-shattered; False flax seeds. Export duties per se are consistent with the WTO Agreements.
The Government of Ukraine defines the list of commodities that are subject to export licensing on yearly basis. As a rule such commodities include: Amber; Ores and concentrates of precious metals; Finished or unfinished diamonds; Other precious or semiprecious stones; Silver; Gold; Platinum; Waste or scrap of precious metals; Certain types of metal products exported to specific countries; Ozone-destroying substances; Products, which may contain ozone-depleting substances; Certain categories of textile products; Hides and skins and certain chemicals.
