Association of Ukrainian Banks

AUB is a nonprofit organization (non-state, independent, voluntary, non-commercial organization), which unites Ukrainian banks and banking associations.

The Association was established with the purpose to facilitate Ukraine’s banking system development, represent of its members’ interests with state management authorities, protect banks’ rights, public relations, relations with foreign banks and their associations. The AUB is the successor of the Association of Commercial and Cooperative Banks of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.

The Association acts based on the following principles:

The Association’s main tasks are as follows:

The AUB renders consultations and assistance to the AUB members in all affairs that have to do with Ukrainian banks’ activities, facilitates the work of the Arbitration Court of the Association, and takes the following measures:

The AUB maintains and develops business contacts with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Administration of the President of Ukraine, cooperates with the National Bank of Ukraine on the key directions of the monetary, credit, and taxation policy; participates in working-out of draft instructions, and other normative documents issued by the National Bank of Ukraine, which regulate commercial banks’ activities.

The AUB actively cooperates with mass media, holds press-conferences, and publishes information materials.

The Association is managed by:

  • the Congress of the Association;
  • the Council of the Association;
  • the President of the Association.
