Ukrainian Scientific and Training Center for Standardization, Certification, and Quality (the state enterprise UkrNDNC)

The UkrNDNC was established by the Resolution No.1337 passed by Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers on August 21, 2003.

Major directions of its scientific, research, and technical activities in Ukraine include scientific and methodical supervision of elaboration, introduction, and maintenance of standardization, certification, and quality management systems as well as procedures for conformity assessment.

The UkrNDNC embraces the following institutions:

  1. The Scientific and Research Institute for Standardization – the leading Ukrainian institution in the field of scientific and methodical management of elaboration, introduction, and maintenance of the national standardization system.
  2. The Conformity Assessment Institute – scientific and methodical center within national standardization system; certifying body for products, services, and quality management systems, which is accredited in the Ukrainian State Certification System (UkrSEPRO).
  3. The Institute for Specialists Training – the specialized educational institution that augments the qualification of specialists in the sphere of metrology, standardization, certification, and quality management.
  4. The Institute for Quality Management and Ecological Supervision – the methodical center for elaboration, introduction, and monitoring of quality management and ecological supervision systems in compliance with requirements set by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and defined by the NASSR system bound for analysis of threats and critical control points, and arrangement of quality contests for commodities, activities, and services.
  5. The Main Fund for Legislative Acts – stockpiles information related to technical regulation, maintains its storage and registration, provides conditions for the usage of legislative acts in the interests of separate individuals, society, and the state.
  6. Department for Information Technologies – is engaged in gathering, processing, and distribution of legal, legislative, and scientific information on the issues of standardization, metrology, accreditation, conformity acknowledgement, and protection of consumer rights.
  7. The Academic Council and Department of Postgraduate Study according to the specialty “Standardization and Certification”.
